How Weighted Categories Work
Each category contributes its score times its weight. The semester percentage is:
Example syllabus: Homework 20%, Quizzes 15%, Midterm 25%, Final 40%.

- Contribution: 92×0.20 + 88×0.15 + 81×0.25 + 85×0.40 = 85.85%
Weights Must Sum ~100%
Your syllabus weights should add to 100% (or 1.0). If something is missing — participation, labs, attendance — the calculated average will not match the portal.
